Next Workshop: TBA
How do we monitor our teens’ exposure to alcohol and drug abuse? How about cell phones, texting and the Internet when they know more about the technology than we will ever know? How can we influence them to screen inappropriate songs from their I-Pods? When is it okay to for teens to start dating and how can we guard them from sexual activity? And how do we deal with all of this in an age when they have greater mobility, better and faster communication and more money than any generation in history?
The good news is that these young people, kids born between 1982 and 2000, are “The New Great Generation–” “Millennials.” This group is more affluent and achievement-oriented than any generation since World War I. They are an upbeat, optimistic, “can do” group who will be better educated and more engaged in life than any generation in 100 years. They value relationship with parents and friends.
So, if all is true about this Millennial generation, why are we, as parents of these “wonder kids,” still anxious? There is a new and more powerful way of parenting, “Soulful Parenting™,” that encourages parental influence that is effective in the here and now, while preserving a healthy relationship well into the future.
Soulful Parenting™ shows you how you can begin a powerful, effective, influential alliance with your teen that transforms the relationship from “who is in control” to “how much you care.” It will change your family’s life.
We will cover 6 main topics in each workshop:
- How You “See” Changes Everything! How to see your teen with love and not fear.
- Influence Through Relationship. Learn about the five aspects of an improved relationship
- How are They Seeing? What is your teen experiencing neurologically, cognitively, socially, psychologically and morally?
- Boundaries and Consequences. Logical, natural, relational, personal and spiritual consequences of actions.
- Who are You and Who are They? Appreciating your temperment and theirs.
- “There’s a Spirit in the House.” Your home culture is the best antidote to our toxic culture. Be the change you wish to see!
The cost of all workshops is $180 for an individual or $300 for a couple. Payment plans are available.
